Last week I talked about my decision between cloth and natural disposable diapers.
Today I’m going to talk about which brands I chose and why.
The cloth diapering world can be overwhelming, to say the least. Pocket? 2-in-1? All-in-one? Diaper service? This is a great image of your options with cloth diapering.
We chose to do the cover and stay dry inserts by Flip. I love that I can use the cover multiple times and only change the insert, as long as there’s no soak through. Once little miss is wetting heavier at night, it will be very easy to double up inserts if need be. They have cute colors and wash up really nicely.
Here’s a disclaimer: a very generous friend gave me two covers and six inserts to try out before I ordered. This is a genius idea and if you can borrow a diaper or two to “play” with before you commit to a certain style, I highly recommend it. I have seen some other styles that I’m certain wouldn’t work for me so I was very fortunate it was love at first try.
I love ordering from Cotton Babies – 30 day money back guarantee, free shipping on every order, reasonable prices and fabulous customer service. They also have some really cute accessories and toys.
As for disposables, I went with Honest Diapers Bundle. We are already really happy with their toiletries and cleaning products, so I trust the brand. As stated on their website, their diapers are “eco-friendly, ultra absorbent & free of lotions, fragrances and latex.” They also have SUPER cute prints :).
If you’d like to try before you buy, you can do the free trial. You will pay shipping but hey, it’s still seven free diapers and ten free wipes! Their bundle comes with six jumbo packs of diapers and four packs of wipes. The price? Less than $20 a week. Considering I pair this with mostly cloth diapering, that’s a great deal. Not to mention, I don’t have to drag four kids to the store to buy them!
You can spread your bundle order out a few months, like I do because you will not use the month supply in one month. If you love the sample or already know you want to order, would you consider ordering through this link? It will not cost you a penny more, but you will show your love to My Life as a Rinnagade by helping our family earn a $20 credit :).
Come back next week when I talk about our cloth diaper routine!
